The History of Chorale II
CHORALE II was formed by Dr. James T. McRaney in February, 2006 in response to expressions from many who had a desire to continue the tradition of quality choral singing they had experienced in earlier years. Initially, the group rehearsed once per month and presented its inaugural concert in conjunction with a local high school choral program.

2006-2007 Season
In our first “full” season, the chorale began rehearsing twice a month, and expanded to present concerts in local churches in additional to major seasonal performances.
The group continued to encourage youth musicians in performance by including a young violinist as an artist on the spring concert. Late in the season, plans were envisioned for a concert tour in the summer of 2008.

2007-2008 Season
During 2007-08, CHORALE II sought to extended its cultural service to the metro Atlanta community. In addition to participating in a unique centennial anniversary, we continued to encourage youth music talent by inviting a middle school student to perform as a guest soloist as well as with the chorale in concert.

2008-2009 Season
The 2008-09 season provided new opportunities for creative programming. Continuing to encourage younger music performers, the December Holiday Concert incorporated a “Family Holiday Traditions” theme in order to involve some of the extended families of our members in holiday performances. For the following spring, “For the Love Of …” was chosen as the theme which allowed focusing our repertoire on music written about various aspects of love.
